  • Q: Can you explain how the $500 bond works?

    A: All rental equipment is subject to a $500 refundable bond. This is automatically charged to your credit card when confirming your order. Upon return of the equipment, Kiwi Golf Rentals will conduct an inspection. If we are satisfied that the equipment has been returned in full and undamaged, we will refund $500 back to your credit card. This may take 2-3 working days to process. Note if the replacement cost of damaged or lost clubs exceeds $500, we do reserve the right to charge the full amount to your credit card.

  • Q: What does Kiwi Golf Rentals charge for delivery?

    A: If within the Auckland CBD, delivery and pick-up is complimentary. For any other location within the greater Auckland area, a delivery and pick-up fee will be charged to your credit card, after an order is placed. This will vary depending on your location. Here is a guide for delivery and pick-up fees:

    Auckland CBD – Free
    Auckland inner suburbs (Parnell, Grey Lynn, Kingsland, Ponsonby, Mt Eden, Mt Albert, Eden Terrace, Newton, Herne Bay, Freemans Bay) – $10
    Auckland outer suburbs (Avondale, Mt Roskill, Mt Wellington, Hillsborough, Glendowie, Ellerslie, Remuera, Kohimarama, St Heliers) – $20
    Auckland Airport – $25
    Manukau City (Papatoetoe, Pakuranga, Howick, Botany Downs, Dannemora) – $25
    Waitakere City (New Lynn, Te Atatu, Titirangi, Swanson, Henderson) – $25
    Inner North Shore (Takapuna, Northcote, Birkenhead, Glenfield) – $15
    Outer North Shore (Albany, Mairangi Bay, Castor Bay, Beachaven, Torbay, Hauraki, Devonport) – $25

  • Q: How long do I have to book a package in advance?

    A: Generally we prefer a minimum of 5-7 days notice. That allows us to ensure the equipment is ready and available to the premium standard we demand – and that any accessories you order are also in stock. However for urgent rentals, we may be able to offer a shorter lead time provided the equipment is available. Please contact us for any special requests.

  • Q: I plan to play a few rounds of golf while visiting New Zealand. Can I take the equipment I’ve rented out of Auckland?

    A: Yes. However, you must take delivery of the equipment in Auckland initially and will have to arrange with us, in advance, where and when we can pick up the equipment when you return to Auckland. You may not, however, take the equipment out of New Zealand.

  • Q: I don’t wish to rent a package but I need some golf balls and umbrellas urgently delivered to my office. Can you help?

    A: No. Under the agreements we have with our suppliers, we cannot sell accessories without a rented golf club package.

  • Q: I want to hire a cart or trundler. Why don’t you supply them?

    A: Most golf clubs in New Zealand have trundlers and golf carts for hire (although you should contact the golf club in advance to confirm availability of carts). Many of our packages come with lightweight stand bags and are relatively easy to carry around in the golf course.

  • Q: My friend is interested in using the equipment that I have rented, as there is a particular club there he has considered buying. Can I lend him the equipment for a day or two?

    A: No. Apart from corporate rental arrangements permitted in writing to Kiwi Golf Rentals, only the cardholder is authorised to use rented equipment. If somebody else wishes to use the rented equipment, they will have to go through the process again using their own credit card.

  • Q: I wish to rent a package long-term for my business. Any chance of a discount?

    A: Yes. For corporate and long-term rentals we can provide you with a special rate. Send us an email for more information.

  • Q: Can I use some clubs from one package and swap them for others in a package I wish to rent?

    A: Generally the clubs must remain in the individual packages designed by Kiwi Golf Rentals. However, contact us if you need some customisation.

  • Q: My travel arrangements have changed. Can I cancel my rental package and accessories and get a refund?

    A: Yes. However, you must give us 48 hours notice before the date you are due to take delivery of your equipment to qualify for a full refund. Otherwise you will be charged for one day’s rental, with the balance refunded to your credit card. A full refund is at our discretion and is likely to incur a booking fee of 10% of the original purchase price. This booking fee covers the transaction charge that we incur for accepting your credit card transaction, our time in processing the order and in refunding.

  • Q: I’m not planning to visit Auckland at all. Can I still rent equipment from Kiwi Golf Rentals?

    A: No. Kiwi Golf Rentals operates only within the Auckland area at this stage.

  • Q: What happens if I accidentally lose a club?

    A: Our packages are made up of a driver, fairway woods, irons, wedges and putter. Excluding the irons, if a club cannot be located, you will be charged the full replacement cost of that particular club. If an iron is lost, you will be charged the full replacement cost of a set of irons. This is because it can be very difficult to match a set of irons if one is lost. So try not lose a club!
